Pastor Randy Valimont
Senior Pastor of Griffin First Assembly
In 1993, Pastor Randy Valimont accepted the position as Senior Pastor of Griffin First Assembly of God. During Pastor Valimont’s ministry at Griffin First Assembly, more than twenty thousand souls have dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ through the ministries of the church. The church has grown from 400 to over 4,000 in Sunday morning worship attendance.
Pastor Valimont has served on the World Missions Board of the Assemblies of God and is currently an Executive Presbyter of the Georgia District Assemblies of God and General Presbyter for the General Council of the Assemblies of God. He is also on the Board of Regents at Southeastern University, his alma mater. In addition to these responsibilities, Pastor Valimont serves on the following boards: CIS Bible School Board of Regents Chairman, International Media Ministry, Asian Compassionate Touch Foundation, Georgia District Missions Director, Cutting Edge International, and Northwood Assembly Board of Overseers.
Matt Ammons
Young Adults Pastor (The EDGE)
Matt has joined Pastor Randy Valimont as the Young Adult & Creative Arts Pastor at Griffin First Assembly of God. He comes from Knoxville, TN where he was born and raised in the ministry at a very young age. From Tennessee, he moved to Georgia in 2003 and has worked as Worship, Children's, and Youth Pastor at churches all over Metro Atlanta.
Apart from teaching, Matt has a heart and anointing for leading worship. God has blessed him as a Singer/Song Writer, and Musician with opportunities of leading worship for Conferences with Darlene Zschech of Hillsong Church, and Conferences with John Maxwell and Joyce Myer.
Matt has a strong passion to reach this younger generation through worship and the Word, in a new light that connects with the world we live in today. His heart is to give everyone an opportunity to become all they long to be, and lead them well down the path of righteousness.
